It's a...Reverse Harem
It is the end of days... Krystal has spent years locked in isolation, enduring torture day after day. It might drive a lesser woman mad. Her sudden freedom leads to a journey across the forbidding landscape. Unexpected allies appear, and new challenges block their path. Embracing every opportunity as a chance, Krystal must trust these five lost souls, her wild ability to heal, and most of all—herself. They owe a debt they cannot pay… Titus, Paden, Zeke, Ryland, and Jett spent years in bespelled servitude. Slaves to the unforgivable, they seek to atone for misdeeds beyond their power. Discovering a Sister alone in the woods, they pledge themselves to her service. Saving Krystal is more than a means to an end, though, as one by one she restores their hope, love, and faith. They will need all of their strength and hers. Loving her saved them, but losing her may save the world.

Compassion Be Damned Releases 5/15

Krystal never thought of herself as a true Sister. She didn't have the powers that normal Sisters did. She never considered herself to be anything special at all. The Darkness thought otherwise. It chose Krystal. When she refused, she was locked away. Forced to face The Darkness every night until she gave in. When she finally gets a chance to escape, she has hope for the first time in a long time. She is sent on a long journey. Luckily she finds help along the way. Facing demons of their own, a group of guards with no Sister take it upon themselves to get Krystal where she needs to be. It's a good thing too b/c Krystal isn't supposed to make it to her destination and there are many forces at work to keep her from accomplishing her goal.

This is the fourth book in the Last Hope series. While all the books focus on a different set of main characters, you really should read them all and in order. You get a better understanding of the world they are in and you see the characters again.

As always with this series, I don't want to talk to much about what actually happens in the book. These are more of the 'you need to feel your way through it' kinda books. I will tell you that this series is about a world being taken over by demons. The Sisters are chosen by Divinity to fight the demons and save humanity. Krystal is different though. She doesn't fight, she heals. She's always felt she was unimportant b/c of this. Always made to feel like she was worthless, a mistake. She just may be the most important of all.

In this book we get to meet a few new characters and the world is expanded on just a bit. We get more information from some past characters to set us up for the final book in the series as well. All of the books have been leading up to the big, final battle but this one really set it all in motion.

I know this talks more about the series in general than Krystal and her story but Rebecca is an author that writes stories that tug on your heart. I want you to feel every emotion that I did while you are reading. I don't want to take one single second of that away from you. To touch a little more of Krystal and her guys there's this. Rebecca does a fantastic job of giving us characters that don't fit the mold. Krystal isn't a petite, model attractive female who automatically knows what needs to be done and handles it. She has flaws. She's awkward and weak at times. It makes her feel real to me. The guards in this story have their own jaded pasts. They have done things that they will carry with them always.  But deep down, they are honorable, loving men. Rebecca couldn't have written a group more perfect for each other. They face a lot of obstacles in this book. A LOT! I was rooting for them all the way to the end. And what an end it was.

I really enjoy all of Rebecca's books but this is my favorite series by far. Y'all know that I'm a hard one on the emotions and every book in this series has gotten to me. I'm not big on highlighting parts of books that stand out or remembering certain things said in books. I'm not a favorite quote kind of person. But every single one of these books has had at least one line that struck me. If you have never read any of Rebecca's books or if you love her others series. You must read this series.

Make sure you join the group for the Last Hope Series .
